Hey everybody, I hope you guys are doing well,
It's Crystal here, and I'm writing this to tell you guys that if you're using commercial soaps and body washes..you're using detergent on your body...you know...similar to the detergent that is used on your clothes and dishes.
Let me break this down as easy as I can.. Soaps (detergents) from commercial companies are usually produced on a large scale, with harsh chemicals and cheap synthetic ingredients. Ingredients that often cause skin irritation and breakouts.
Detergents strip your skin of it's natural oils which leaves your skin feeling "dry" and "tight" after a shower or bath. Large companies use chemical hardeners and synthetic lathering chemicals to make their soaps more appealing, which in turn makes it cheaper for production for them.
Commercial soaps contain SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) , SLS has been linked to causing eczema, psoriasis and many other skin conditions (and even canker sores in toothpaste).
In contrast, Adea Dawn uses all natural and organic ingredients in our products. We have a motto to not use things that we cannot pronounce or eat. Our soaps contain our big 5 natural oils and a light natural fragrant, if any. There is also one other ingredient that is used inside of our soaps, sodium hydroxide or simply put, lye.
All of Adea Dawn's soap has been carefully crafted, to be good for skin. Adea Dawn uses both Cold processing and Hot processing soap making processes for different soaps. Our cold soaps, like all natural soaps, go through a six week process called, curing, which is necessary for Saponification. Which is the process of oils and lye turning into safe soap.
Our Hot process soaps, like Baby Oat, for example, is usually ready after two weeks. Because with hot process soaping, we have safely cooked the lye out of our product. Lye is absolutely necessary in natural soap making because it is what turns our big 5 oils into a soap.
Cold processed soap must go through this process in order to become gentle enough to use on skin. AD (Adea Dawn) calculates our lye input in our soaps, and then our soap is PH tested for safety (passes every time)
During the saponification process, natural soaps produce glycerin. Glycerin is a natural humectant, and keeps the skin moisturized.
So hopefully this clears up any confusion on why our soap products reign superior.
(PS: Message for anyone with Vaginas)
(NEVER USE ANY TYPE OF SOAP ON YOUR GENITALS, IT MESSES UP YOUR PH BALANCE AND CAN CAUSE OTHER ISSUES, WHETHER IT'S NATURAL SOAP OR COMMERCIAL SOAP. If you have a vagina, it's healthier to let your vagina clean itself, its acidic enough to ward off any bad bacteria. If you have been using commercial soap, and it's been causing you issues, contact a licenced gynecologist right away.)
